learndirect scotland and Quality Training & Development Ltd  are working in partnership to develop a series of learning packages to address the vital needs of individuals providing advice and guidance.

Advice and guidance services are vital in supporting learners in making effective and sustainable choices throughout their lives. Planning these multiple-activity services requires individuals to have the necessary skills, underpinning knowledge and, where appropriate, qualifications to ensure advice is provided appropriately to the needs of the learner.

What are the advantages?

• The advice and guidance content has been created with the context of branded learning centre staff in mind, and would also be suitable as a development opportunity for front-line advisors in public sector bodies.
• These modules will provide the underpinning knowledge to allow participants to develop their skills and competences covering 7 units across Level 3 and Level 4 SVQ in Advice & Guidance Core Units.
• It will help individuals to establish good practice and to build confidence in their ability to fulfill their role.
