Organising an event

Running an event can be a great way getting people to talk about your learning centre. And word of mouth is one of the best ways to promote your centre in the local community.

A successful event can give you an opportunity to raise your profile with potential learners, local businesses, learning providers, councillors and other stakeholders.

With imagination and planning, you can also use an event to attract the attention of the media.

Don’t forget to contact your learning centre development officer (LCDO) when planning an event. They’ll be able to tell you about events run by other centres and what worked for them.
