Enviroment
There is a relationship to the rate of learning depending upon the environment in which the activity takes place. Taking care to design your environment will ensure that you and your team can deliver the various aspects of your service in a receptive environment.
Consider the following:
- Reception
This is generally a public area so ensure that anything you don't want to be seen are kept free from view. This could be personnel files, internal notices, cashbox, etc,.
- Group Learning
This may take place in a semi public space which is free from interruption but has a degree of visibility.
- One-to-One
This is likely to require a degree of privacy, either in a dedicated office space where sound is reduced by means of a partitioned screen, or glazed office. Where possible try to maintain a good level of visibility so no ‘cell like’ offices are required.
