We receive four enquiries about learning every minute of every day

Desks

It is preferable that your desks are height adjustable. This will ensure that all learners can adjust the working height for their own specific needs. Desks should be free from clutter and come with a cable management system to ensure there are no unsightly cables which can get in the way of working.

A good cable management system prevents legs and feet becoming tangled up under the desk top.

Desk profiles offer a variety of choice. Selecting one with a tapered end, for instance, will create a larger surface area to accommodate the computer monitor and keyboard, while the shorter end can be used for writing or reading materials.

When selecting your desks, ensure that they can be configured to give you options for layouts. When you are space planning your centre, you will likely design for a specific arrangement but remember this may change if numbers change or if you introduce wireless technology. So think of both your immediate needs and longer term requirements when planning.
