PDA Online Learning

The PDA (Professional Development Award) in Online Learning is a nationally recognised qualification by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA).  The qualification has been developed in partnership between learndirect scotland and a consortium of FE colleges and is delivered online in 7 units as follows:

  • Unit 1 - Online Learning Theory
  • Unit 2 - Online Communication: Theory
  • Unit 3 - Online Communication: Discussion
  • Unit 4 - Online Learning Materials: Selection and use
  • Unit 5 - Online Learning: Induction
  • Unit 6 - Online Learning: Integration of conventional and online delivery
  • Unit 7 - Online Communication: Review Practice
  • Mandatory project: Online Learning: Consolidating Theory and Practice

Target Audience
The PDA is aimed primarily at experienced tutors who are new to online learning.
