learndirect scotland launched in October 2000 with a core goal to drive demand for lifelong learning, placing the learner at the heart of our mission. 

We work closely with our key partners which include, crucially, the network of more than 510 learndirect scotland branded learning centres.  Your centres have challenged the culture and ways in which people learn.  While adopting the methods and approaches that best facilitate learning, you have tailored learning to individual needs.  

Branded learning centres offer different ways of learning that are often more informal and flexible than the traditional environment. The informal nature of a centre can reinforce learning as a positive choice and there is a breadth of learning opportunities available to learners. Your centres are recognised as places where learners meet, gather and feel at ease.
