Fife Adult Learning Awards

Fife Adult Learner Awards Organised by the Fife Community Guidance Network the Fife Adult Learning Awards were held in the Rothes Halls on Wednesday 30th May.  learndirect scotland were delighted to sponsor and present the Individual  Learner Award.  

The very worthy winner was Paula Dowie, seen here in the centre of the front row.    Paula moved from Edinburgh to Abbeyview with her 2 children and attended an aerobics class at the Tryst Centre.  She was encouraged by the staff to enrol on an IT course and has gone on to undertake a range of other courses including Communication, Numeracy, Spruce Yir Hoose and Childcare.  She has decided on a career in Social Work and has progressed onto a full time Access to Humanities course at Lauder College which will allow her to apply to University next year.
